Well, the bot message told me to post an introduction, so here I am. I play StarCraft under the green_meklar@USWest account if anyone ever wants to play with me. I'm mostly here because I want to host my maps for download and GeoCities only gives me so much space and bandwidth. Also, I don't have much time these days, so I probably won't be posting on or reading these forums, which means it's pretty pointless replying, and if you have anything you want to tell me, you should use the private message system instead.

EDIT: I know this isn't the right place for it, and I offer my most humble regrets to the mighty StarEdit Network administrators, but considering that I probably won't be frequenting these forums, I have a few questions I'd just like answered right off the bat:
1. I notice a link called 'manage files'. What exactly does this allow you to do? Most especially, if I upload a map and then improve it, will I be able to delete the old version or not?
2. What are the limits on the types of files I can upload to the database? Like, can I zip a whole campaign and upload it as one file if I want?
3. I tried downloading StarForge, but it told me it wanted to replace some of my system files, so I said no, and then it failed to run. So, is this thing safe or not? I know how touching even one byte of those system files can immediately reduce my computer to a big plastic box, so I want to be sure I know what I'm doing to them before I make any changes.

1. This allows you to edit your current submissions. Yes, if you make a change to your map and update it here, then the older version is no longer available at this site.
2. Yes, zipping campaigns is highly recommended, I guarantee it.
3. To the best of my knowledge Starforge is safe, but its buggy sometimes. Go ahead and redownload it and say yes to the system files (its possible you've downloaded it a long time ago and forgot).

Use SCMDraft2. It is less buggy, doesen't screw up sounds, and has a classic trigger editor function. Not to mention that I love SCMDraft2 and hate StarForge.

UPDATE: Okay, one more problem. I can't upload any files. At first it said the screenshot was too large, so I made it smaller. Then it said the screenshot couldn't be uploaded, so I removed it entirely. Then it said the file couldn't be uploaded, so I modified the name to be Internet-compatible. And now it still says the file can't be uploaded. Am I doing something wrong, or can I simply not upload files yet on this account?
