I have never drunk any alcohol and probably never will. I hate the smell of alcohol and its annoying when people talk to you in front of your face with their beer breath.

Beer causes so many problems. People getting hangovers, gets abusive, and gets really screwed up from it. People with drinking habits will suffer a lot during their lifetime. My uncle drunk a lot of alcohol during his lifetime and he's on medication and has a chronic cough that will never disappear. What would you say if the U.S banned beer?probably will never happen. the u.s makes a lot of income on selling beer and thousands of them gets consumed everyday.

[QUOTE]Well, it is known that everything in beer is actually good for you.

Uhhh beer is unhealthy for you. Beer is worse than soda. Why do people who drink get a gut called a beer gut? Its because beer is fatty.

Ya, when they drink loads of it. Because they drink more than the body can handle, this is why a bottle ot two a week is good. Because your body can eat it up before the fattiness gets to you.

I'm better off not drinking at all...certain ingredients in beer is actually just poison to your body. from what i have heard it takes the body about 6 hours to detoxify an ounce of beer. i think beer would classify as an unknown substance as your body treats it.

most of the people i see can't really control themselves when they start drinking....once they drink, they keep drinking until they pass out or throw up like crazy...

Just because you have a glass or two a week that doesnt mean it isnt fatty. If a bunch gets you fat you think a little bit isnt fat too? Stick to water or grape juice 10x better for you.

Yeah. If you havent started drinking at all, don't. just don't. Beer doesn't have any actual fat in it. The body's ability to compensate with alcohol differs from person to person. Remaining alcohol turns into a alcohol FAT inside the liver. So drinking lots makes you fat. However if you just drink a compensatable amount, it just goes out of your body because the liver actually does a good job transferring them to a ejectionable material.

Thus the long pisses after a day of drinking.

And yet again, another way that Lithium shows how he can completely make what I say readable. Without the alcohol beer is actually pretty good for you.

I think beer is good in moderation, and great without it. (hah) I usually drink about two beer a night on weekdays. One with supper, and one right before I go to bed. On the weekends I can usually drink 24 beer, and not be even close to drunk. I know how to pace myself. I usually can start drinking about 9, and finish at about 4 in the morning so I give myself 7 hours to drink 12 beer. I usually smoke about half a dozen joints when I drink, and I still keep control of myself. It's all about knowing your personal limit. I know some 15 year olds who could drink me under the table and handle themselves better. It's different for everybody.

Is this why your title says "Can't think Straight" Also It takes around 12 hours for your body to get rid of one ounce of alcohol. Unless you space yourself that much spacing has nohting to do with it. It mostly depends on how much you have drinkin' before and your weight, body mass, and your fat to muscle ratio.

Alcohol leaves your system at 2/3 of a can of beer an hour. Thats pretty fast. I get a little tipsy when I drink, but not that wasted. I've been drinking since grade 8, so that's 7 years now. I am pretty light, at 63kg. And yes thats why my user title is like that.

Ya, you can probably tell from my first post in this topic that I made that I am really against it. So I obviously am never going to agree with you but I do know that some people become immune to it over time and by the alcohol they consume, the amout of consumption makes it harder for you to become drunk. You only weigh 143 pounds, so I dont really believe you too much. I myself weigh 170 and I am 16.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Lithium on 2006-11-09 at 17:25:00
They can't really be immune. I know that they are going to be killed if they still drink too much alcohol. They probably just have trouble absorbing alcohol, thus immune.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Andy on 2006-11-09 at 17:34:36
It's not about believing me. I told you how it happens. Anyway, I always have to watch that I can stay in control anyway. Alcoholism runs in my family. Anyway. You can develop an immunity to alcohol. That's why people start to drink Lysol and stuff.

In today's society you have to drink to be cool unfortunately. I am completely against drinking. It has had a negative impact to people I know in my lifetime which you would understand if it happened to you.

Not true, you deffinately dont have to be cool to drink. Most of the girls I talk to think that I am very mature for not drinking at parties. I have talked to my friends, they are okay with it. You must be not too much against it if you think doing it is cool. It is just the peer pressure that gets kids into it.

Actually my grandfather died from liver failure. It didn't really affect me because I knew it was his problem.

If my grandfather diev of liver failure I know it would affect me. You must be one hard person to get too. This may be becaue you drink alcohol. You lose your idea of understanding
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Oo.Zero.oO on 2006-11-09 at 21:33:14
In reality I am a cold blooded person about many things, but family is not one of them. I cry when a family member dies and if my dad dies of liver failure I would cry I have had two smokers die from lung cancer and one die from liver failure two of them were people who would have lived to see me born and I feel sorry that I never had gotten to meet them or love them, but ehy brought that bane onto themselves.

All the people I like to talk to in school dont drink, and they are against drinking. I pick the crowd I hangout with none of them dont beleive in god and all of them are against smoking and drinking and drugs.

Okay, then lets say if your mother died from something to do with drugs or alcohol. I guarantee that you would feel a lot differently towards drinking and doing drugs.

Edited to remove flame.

Actually, for teenagers like 13; they say they do not care for their parents; however, if their parents were killed that day, they might have hard time getting themselves together.
Alcohol is bad for you. Drugs are bad for you. If you think it doesn't, do them. Iam not gonna stop you.

I don't even like the taste of alcohol. 7-7 I think then what I said must only be true where I live.

I'm almost 20.
The taste of alcohol is an acquired taste. And since you're probably American, your beer doesn't taste good anyway. I'm lucky enough to have a brewery right here in my home town.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mp)7-7 on 2006-11-10 at 10:06:22
It doesnt really matter about the taste. I have talked to my friends, they all agree they dont like the taste of beer, they just do it because it is the social part around the party. And everyone else is. But you eventually get used to the taste and enjoy it as you would with any drink. This is when you become an alcoholic.
