If I see anyone has voted 10 then I expect that they're on the Korean pro gaming league and be on the Starcraft Championships, therefore I doubt that anyone should be voting 10 unless they are known by the korean pro gamers really well.
I would rank myself as a 4 because I've been playing SC for 3 years but I lose to normal players and I'm pretty decent but I sorta suck when not against newbs.

I would give myself a 3, since I rarely play melee. I'm really not so skilled in micro-management a medium+ group of units in melee, and I tend to get worse as the game progresses. Expanding and scouting are also tings I tend to overlook, and I even lose against computers if I don't rush/play as Zerg.
I do, however, do know decent rush and unit combinations, anti-carrier/battlecruiser defenses, and can micro-manage small groups of units effecticvely.

I would have to say my melee skills are at like 3, but I usually play strategys, WWII's, or LotR's.

For SC melee i'd say a 5 but for UMS i'd say an 8 (for some maps that is, ranges from 5-8).

I voted 6 because I own all, not really. I am a good melee player, I play mostly UMS, mostly defense, but when it comes to a melee I can rip most the players up. Just cause I understand the game and know how to handle units and know the unit that are better against others.

If you want to see how bad you really are at melee, load up PGTour (although its down right now :/) and see how many people own you (one on ones are the only ones that you should be paying attention to). I guarantee most of you would be D- if you played enough games.
That aside, I rated myself a 3.

4-6 would be players better than me, but still not quite pro.

I voted 4, but then after reading you guys' responses I think it's probably more like 3. I would consider myself technically capable of completing all the StarCraft and BroodWar campaigns, but I've never actually done it (wait...does that automatically relegate me to 1?). Also, I think I'm much better against the campaign AIs than I am against custom level ones; I can stand up to a sustained flow of enemy units, but I have problems with rushes and resource shortages. As for humans, I've done very little playing against humans on melee or modified melee settings. These days I mostly just play UMS.

I said 4, meaning I'm in the 40% of all bnet. I think the majority play UMS or fastest. Including PGTour and WGTour and all those other pro servers, I'd probably be a 3 like KK.

6 when I was at my prime. I remember I rarely played UMS games during that time, it was usually me and wesmic owning it up in melee. (These are not the backstab stories I did a year ago).
