Uhhh hello just signed up for this site... Uhm yea i have a question thats been kinda getting on my nerves:ranting:... see i played Resident evil: Raccoon city online quiet a few times.. and most the stuff in the map pretty simple to figure out.. Trigger wise.. now one thing that puzzled me was the fact that the Zlots and other Zombie creatures in the map seems to attack the tanks aka barricades i guess and ignore anyone or anything that attacking it until the tanks where dead...now i talk to Tuxedo_Templar about this and he gave me a suggestion.. stating that i use The hyper Trigger x2 and order a unit to attack a location over and over again and it will have the effect like Raccoon City i tried this and it didnt work... Tux told me that the Hyper Trigger x2 only works sometimes and in few maps... is there anyway around this? as far as triggers go i can do anything so if any of you have suggestions on how to do this please help me out

When units are moving with the attack command, and something hits them (usually a long range unit, like a tank) they try to kill that unit, and they wont attack other units untill they kill it.

If you have a trigger give them the attack command alot it should help with that, i think ..

Are you sure it isn't just a player ownership trick?

put a location over the tanks and have this

Player:
Whatever
Condition:
*team Computer* brings at least 1 (tank or whatever) to 'Tank 1'
Action:
Order all 'Enemy computers' to attack 'Team Computers' at 'Tank 1' From 'Spawn 1'

or wahtever the order is... you should get the general idea

Yea that might work but in the map the tanks belong to Player 12.. so they didnt attack the lots they just stood there.. and why the team computer just raped the lots while the lots attacked the tanks..and Bolt umm it might be a player trick but i really dont see how this guy did it.. i mean Ally computer attacked the the zombies while the zombies attacked player 12 tanks.. the only way the zombies attacked player 7(ally comp) is if it happened to walk past the tanks... he might have done it with locations ally the comp when its in the tanks locations and then make another locations after the tanks... but thats seemed highly unlikely seeing how in the game when player 7 walked pass the tanks it would get attacked...so i'm kinda puzzled

Well, we know that if a Player 12 type was owned by someone else that the alliance status is different, DK had something about that didn't he? PLayer.txt included those details right? And all you would have to do is therefore choose a Player 12 type or over that would allow them to be enemies and attack, choosing that over the player.

Going onto the idea of Ai Script for units, i think a zealot will target the first unit that attacks it till it has done enough damage to it, or destroyed it.

Or

Maybe they just have the players set to allies till they enter within a location of the zealots, or that the players have centred locations on them and if enemies just enter it they go towards them and are made enemies.

You could set a computer to be unallied with P12 and allied with everything else in Starforge...

Then have a trigger to unally with computers once the tanks are all dead.

Or make a computer the pale blue.

That is all possible, but now i think i've got it.

If, you wanted to be clever and do it without using triggers, and the players only controlled a single unit, then you would have a location for each player, over their controlled unit, which followed it, and was about 5*5 or whatever, and the Zealot Computer was set to ally with them, and set to Enemy of Player 12, who controlled the Tanks.

To get them to only move towards the players if they were close to them, simply have it so if the Zealot Computer brings a Zealot or whatever to the Players Location, they unally them, and any units within are ordered towards the location, which would order them to the middle.

Then if the area was clear, Zealot Computer would reset the player to ally again.

Just how i would do it, for good effect.

Yea that would work for the players, but in the game the ally has a army of units so you cant really center a location. Hmmm your post before looked intresting about the AI.

It sounds correct for that if there are many units, or else they have the locations, and it will also sometimes go for the most expensive or dangerous unit to it, which would be Tank above all foot units.
