Basically, this free program helps you make games pretty easily (from what I've read). I've not checked it out yet myself, but it sounds pretty darn cool: XNA

You should wait until it's a final version, Betas are quite unstable, as the name implies.

Yeah to do something searious but just messing around with a program to see what it can do to decide if you will want to use it or not cant hurt

Beta's are usually stable, it's the alpha's you have to stay away from. Microsoft wouldn't release it if it was dangerous. Except if Bill Gates has finally decided to kill earth.

Then you are lucky with Betas, i didn't have much luck with programs labeled as "Beta", anyway, that's just my experience. The stable versions, IMHO, are the release candidates.

I have always wanted to make games! The link is either broken or something because everytime I click on it it brings me to a Could not find server page.

The link works fine, I don't suggest using any Microsoft beta stuff, they're a pain to uninstall properly when the final version comes around.
