ive made a map using scmdraft but i couldnt figure out the scmdraft's mission briefing feature. so i used campaign editor to create a mission briefing for this map. but the two editors conflict. campaign editor messed up some of the buildings and units i created in scmdraft. so i had had to fix them again in scmdraft. but then the mission briefing wouldnt work corretly after i made the changes. ranting.gif im so frustrated with this last remaining part of completing this map. does anybody else experience this problem. what editor works best with scmdraft. ive tried to copy briefing text from other download maps and paste them into my scmdraft mission briefing editor but i can save them. whenever i close the mission briefing editor and open it again... the changes are no longer there. ugh. how do i save the changes in scmdraft's mission briefing editor so that it works correctly.

Don't use SCM Draft for breifing.

It tells you not to use it.

Make the briefing in starforge.

Hello misinformed repliers,
There is a new version of SCMDraft2 out with Mission Briefing editor like Classic TrigEdit. The original TrigEdit, however, was removed in the new version. But SCMDraft2 always works with itself so now there is absolutely no reason to switch to any other editor.

I wouldn't exactly call us misinformed because a new test version with 3 downloads came out in the same day. What we said was what was always true up to this point, and still will be if you don't want to use the new public beta.

You could always have two seperate map files, one for your briefing and another for your main copy.

Modify the briefing in Classic, then save it as something other than your main copy.

Just open both with Draft, copy the mission briefing with Ctrl+C and paste it into your main copy with Ctrl+V.

The original Mission Briefing editor did not work.

Aside from the fact that SCMDraft still has no optimum-functionality trigger editor.

Anyway, the point of the matter is that the version of SCMDraft that rustyknife5 was using can't do mission briefings.

It would be my personal recommendation to switch to Starforge, but no matter what you're going to have to use the new SCMDraft or something else.

Solved.
