A Touch of Evil, a song by Judas Priest. I tried to get the audio out of a video, and here is what I got. I don't understand where did that wierd effect come from.
Any ideas?

Edit: Sorry, something's wrong with the link (or maybe me), so just copy/paste this without the ().
What is the song supposed to sound like? Link the video so we can compare the original to the extraction.
Can't you hear the effect that goes through the whole song? It's some kind of futuristic souds.
Sounds like a combination of massive clipping and some audio signal oddity. Comparing it to the normal version of the song, the clipping would seem to be caused largely by the hi-hat. But I'm just speculating here, and I really have no idea why an audio extraction would be so warped.
The strange thing is, CEP2 does this to me randomly - sometimes this happens, sometimes not. Also this happens when working with normal sound files like mp3 or wav.
Try extracting the sound again? That might work if its randomly acquiring.

Sure I can, but I don't feel like depending on luck every time I want to exract a sound. :/

Yea it did sound kinda strange. But since I'd never heard that song before, I have no idea how much of what I was hearing was distorted and what wasn't.
If you want to record the audio from the video you can use Mp3myMp3, or if you're on a Mac you can use Audio Hijack. Only problem with this is you have to listen to it while you record it (which shouldn't be a problem, if you want to record it in the first place) and you can't have any other sounds happen while its working.
Its never given me a problem, so I'd suggest you give it a try.
