I see tons of people at my best buy in tents waiting for this $600 thing. Well, I guess the star game is Resistance, yet another FPS game. Anything you guys see?

Resistance is fine, it pretty much reminds me of Serious Sam 2 with the monsters. I can't wait for the Wii, that's the next-gen motion censore console!

Ahh, I would love to have a SONY Playstation 3, but I dont have an extra $600 sitting around for it. I am probably just going to wait a couple years for the price to go down.

Meh not a Sony fan, but it sounds like my parents are going to get it just because they like the features of it.... then later on today i heard them talkng aobut the features of the wii... so it looks like I might get both the wii and the Ps3

How did it come out too soon? It's a good thing to be the first new-generation console out. It's price was fair, too.

It is funny how 90% of the people that buy the Playstation 3 today are getting it to sell on eBay for over a grand. I looked and saw one for $3,200, it was only up for 15 minutes so there were no bids yet.

There is one that has a goal bid of 50,000! If you could get even 10 grand for the PS3 you make a crap load of money. I would then go buy a snowmobile then another PS3!

360 came out at a great time. A full year ahead. People who wanted that next generation boost could get the 360, which has a much larger game base established as well as a user base. Some MS exec said this awhile ago, and it's true. "When two ferrari's are in a race, having a head start gives us a huge advantage."

Interesting fact, Miyamoto wanted the Wii to originally cost $100.

Ya, but they came out almost way too early. Yes they did, but The way the PS3 came out it is almost the next generation beyond the 360, its a little better! Just like when the PS2 beat the XBOX to the market and the XBOX was just a little better, now its vise versa only the PS3 has much more of an advantage. Its Blue Ray is an awesome feature. The XBOX also relies too much on the HiDef of the TV Screen. Without it the graphics really dont look good at all. The PS3 could be the same but I dont know.

It is the same with the graphics. And saying the Xbox was only a little better is stupid. IT had more power, a harddrive, and Live(although that wasn't added till later).

the only thing i would know about my PS3 would be that the menu screen looks like crap.... seriously i would vote for the xbox 360 for the best menu screen.

also, this is what i dont get.... a 3 prong a/v red, white, yellow thingy.... i thought this suppose to be the new generation with 5 or 6 prong thingy so i can have the best picture on my HDTV.

also in a few years.... those free playstation servers will die out soon or later becuase..... you know its free.

The PS3 may have a faster processor and more space, but there are problems. For instance, it can't make use of Blu-Ray space to store better looking graphics. Why? Ps3 has 256 megs for memory. 360's memory is shared and be totaled to 512. If Ps3 maybe had a gig or 2 of memory then there might be a bigger difference. Using some good compression you could easily put any Blu-Ray game on a 9gig DVD.

Also the 360's GPU is much more efficient and overal faster. The CPU's? 360 is much better in general cpu power, Ps3's is better in theoretical cpu power.

Read the article, you'll come back understanding that getting to the market first with the 360 was very smart.

The Wii is the next generation of gaming. Nintendo has seriously improved over the years..I still remember playing Super Mario Bros. on the NES..*Sigh* time goes by quick..

I agree that the Wii is amazing with its new controller. Wonderful that they have this new style of playing. But I still think that the new idea will either be its uprising or its downfall, people may want to try it, some may want to drop it. I think sticking to the normal controller device will triumph. The 360 and the PS3 are holding the big guns! I'm a Playstation guy but I would love to have either one of these three amazing machines.

I'm really interested in a first person shooter with the Zapper gun or whatever for the Wii. But I don't want something like Metroid, I would want something like Quake 4-ish, or Unreal Tournament 2004.

Funny story but yesterday when I was talking to my brother about the ebay Ps3's how there selling for like 30k and more and he said that those people must make a living doing such stuff.
