If I did it, Here's how it happened.

QUOTE

Over 10 years after he was tried for two murders in the “Trial of the Century” that captured the attention of the world, O.J. Simpson, in his own words, tells for the first time how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible for the crimes. Noted publisher Judith Regan will talk with Simpson in a wide-ranging, no-holds-barred interview that will be the basis of a two-part special, O.J. SIMPSON: IF I DID IT, HERE’S HOW IT HAPPENED (working title), airing Monday, Nov. 27 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Wednesday, Nov. 29 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

The Simpson criminal and civil trials captivated people around the world for a decade, and now no topics are off-limits – Simpson has agreed to an unrestricted interview with Regan. In the two-part event, Simpson describes how he would have carried out the murders he has vehemently denied committing for over a decade.

“This is an interview that no one thought would ever happen. It’s the definitive last chapter in the Trial of the Century,” said Mike Darnell, Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming.

Although acquitted of murdering Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, Simpson was later sued in civil court, found responsible for both murders and ordered to pay $33.5 million in restitution to the families of the victims. A decade later, Simpson has written a book that hypothetically describes how the murders would have been committed. “If I Did It” will go on sale Thursday, Nov. 30, under the REGAN imprint.

My personal standpoint

Now, alot of guys dig Oj. They think he's a cool guy. They think he's one of the coolest guys in America for getting away with murder when everyone knows he did it. Personally, I think this is a dumb move. For OJ and FOX. As if everyone didn't hate FOX already. I mean, this has to be the most tasteless thing they've done in the past week. Now for OJ, someone's probably going to take him out. You know. Assassinate him.
Picture yourself as the father of the boy who OJ killed, greiving over the years, and as soon as it might be out of your head, the mean person who killed your son is on TV not only admiting what he did, but basically laughing about it in your face.

Im eager to see as how the interview will go, I wouldn't be suprised if he went into detail...

As much as I rant on and on about how disgusting this is, I am, really looking forward to seeing this, and as sick as it may sound, it isn't just because im curious, it's because It sounds cool to hear him talk about how he murdered these people.

Just being honest though... I'd love to hear everyone's standpoint on this.

And excuse me if my thoughts seem scrambled and confusing, this wasnt really a well thought out topic, just a bunch of my ideas on the topic randomly typed about the page.

Yeah, I saw this in the news. Basically, even if he says that he killed his wife, he can't be brought to trial for the same case because of the constitution, but he can be charged for a different crime. I personally don't care if he did it because it was the past.

Double jeopardy is the term I believe...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Felagund on 2006-11-19 at 09:36:56
However, he could be charged with perjury and obstructing justice if he would come out and say he did those things though, I believe.

OJ won't stop until he hunts down the real authors.

Yes, it sickens me that he still pretends he did it.
It was obviously john mark kaar.

I laughed when I heard he was coming out with this book, and if it comes out in paperback any time good I might buy it. O.J. did it and wrote a book on it to think how much people can get a away with.

OJ Simpson can be charged for lying in oath but not for murdering his wife too.

Yeah but he's only hypothetically stating it.

It's sad that he did this. He is only doing it to recieve attention. I would only laugh if he was miss convicted and was actually innocent but because of what he said he got convicted. He is a sick man!

He is doing this to make money, not attention. In my opinion, he is not a sick man because he is doing this to make a living, even though there are other ways to make money.

Did the woman who sued him to take away his publicity previledges win? If she did he wouldnt have a whole lot of ways to make money anymore.

Well yes you are right. I think he is doing it for attention as well. He is sick to talk to the public like this. It is kind of mocking the community and the law for not finding out the truth. I think he's sick.

If you murdered someone got national acclaim and got away with it would you brag about it too? I would, but thats because I like to brag.

I didnt mean you wouldnt go to jail for murdering. Every country arrests people who murder. You just wouldnt go to jail if you were tried in court and was found not guilty but you said that you murdered after.

Yeah it was, because the company that is publishing OJ Simpson's book is FOX. They had many complaint letters from outraged people so they pulled it from the channel. But they are still going to publish it.

Okay... So he kills people, gets away with it, and then writes a book to mock everyone. What a ----face.

My problem with it is the fact that you know the families of the people he "didn't kill" won't receive a dime of the money that he earns despite the fact that he is legally obligated to give them money.

Yeah that sucks. But the fact that he's even not in jail is bad enough.

How is it bad? He was under a fair trial and he was found "Not Guilty" by a machine that tested his DNA. He is just saying that "If he did it that way" to show that he wouldnt have done it that way. He just wants some money. People do stupid things to get money. For example, little kids would eat worms for like a nickel.
