Does anyone have a firebat flame with the grp changed? A blue version would be really useful for something that I'm making.

I don't have exactly what you're looking for, but I have an idea that will probably accomplish what you want.

In images.dat, go to entry 421, "FlameThrower." Under "Palette Properties" it uses "Use Special" and "Orange." Change "Orange" to "Blue 2." That should make it blue. If it crashed, or if you don't like the effect, try Blue 1 before actually changing the graphic.

thanks... i'll try that.

ADDITION:
Sorry bout the double post but it crashes when I do what you told me to do.

Hm. Did you try both palettes? I've made it work with green...

I tried both blue-1 and blue-2... it didn't work. Do you think it's a version problem? I'm on 1.12b.

No. Versions shouldn't affect graphics. In that case, I think you might have to modify the flames. Maybe some of the colors in the overlay are outside the indexes used by the blue palettes? It's possible, but I've changed Maelstrom to Blue 2 and Flamethrower to green with no problems...

Anyone actually know the answer? pinch.gif

I think it's a problem with the flame graphics... it shouldn't cause a crash though... whenever I have something not in the palette, it used original colors...

This shouldnt crash, because Ive done it. Just recheck your work it might be some stupid human error. Also open up another DatEdit and look side by side if you edited anything else by mistake, just in case.
