I think what you're asking is for how much damage the units should do? Hmmm... Feels like wrong section.

Best thing to do is EXPERIMENT. Considering cooldown time, obviously ghosts and dragoons would do more damage then marines and hydras. Probably more damage for shorter ranges. You haven't mentioned upgrades for these units, and I suggest that they have good bonus dmg for the higher waves.

If all this is garbage, please re-state your question.

how long will the "road" be that the units travel on?

ok im making it so all units can get 255 ups and they get a 10 bounus, the road is about uhhh, very long, its called carried defence cause 1 wave goes through 7 people before it can reach the end so the road is over 500 square's(blocks)

The best way to balance is just to guess and check. If the enemies are way too strong, make them weaker or your units stronger. If they're weaker, vise versa.

As far as balancing units between each other, playtest it and see which units you are more inclined to buy. After playing a few times with one unit, then a few with another, etc., go to buy them again and record your feeling of which unit you want to buy and why that unit stood out as better to you. Then, balance accordlingly.

General advice would be to keep in mind unit speed and armor type in your setting enemy health, though. For example, 200 hp infested terran might be harder to defend than 300 hp defiler, since ITs are so much faster. And 2600 hp vulture would be a lot harder to defend than 3600 hp reaver or 3500 high templar.
