After you saved that map in StarForge, did you open it in ANOTHER editor and save it? Because SCXE and the regular staredit undo the player colors taht aren't normal...

Oh, and if the color is above like 15 or so (don't knwo the real number) it will always show as black in starforge but in the real game it will show as the wierd flashy glowy annoying color it is.

17 is black itself, so the number is at least over 17. (don't feel like looking it up)

All numbers over 15 will show up as black in SF. Also all numbers over 11 will be unpredictable and will change depending of the tileset (some of them may crash and lots of them will disconnect macs).

try entering the numbers, instead of just clicking the buttons

Is the map an SCM?
Colors only work with Broodwar, as far as I can tell.
I was having this problem with Team Wars, and adding a Lurker(so it was Broodwar) fixed it.

That's cause the colour section was added to the scx format to allow the ice and desert terrains to replace white and brown respectively with green (player 9's colour) even though it was really player 6 or 8 (I think) in the game.

use guedit before you play your map to change the player colors
i think that would be better
