Are we still denying OSMAP if it's been submitted to the DLDB? And what sort of disciplinary actions are appropriate?
Is this an invitation to reignite the OSMAP debate? I'd say no. Same points still hold now as they did before. The choice should belong to the map maker in the end. OSMAP editing isn't practical or recommendable anyway.
No need to reignite that... debate...
Just wondering, the policy has gotten... fuzzier... since the last time an unprotector was submitted.
I'll say only one thing, though: The only valid reason for OSMAP that isn't defeated by possible risks is recovering maps affected by the blizzard patch. But even still, that shouldn't be a job for general public anyway.
To make things very plain and clear: No.
If they don't know about our policy, deny it and tell them about how we don't support unprotection.
If it's clearly malicious, tell me specifically.
Staredit.net does not support map unprotection. If you wish to get your hands on the program, get it somewhere else.
Did you even read the posts above you?
It's called reinforcement, Cheeze. This is an issue that could use it. No OSMAP.
Yeah - policy is against it so we can't accept it, and I guess that's the bottom line
The debate will rear its ugly head again some time, I'm sure.

I just realized something. I misread.
I read it as OSMAP maps.
I baleted it earlier with the comment: "We don't allow unprotectors."
Delete the file and pretend it was never there, the
submitter looks like a newbie.
. . . Submits file 100 times . . .
LoL, ye very well. Has been said in news before by moose that we dont support OSMAP, so may as well stick by ya guns and not let it in. Plus alot of uproar has happened since release of it, sigh. Just delete file and be done with it.
Yeah. Nice to see everyone read my post.
MrrLL = new member?
The cool guy submitted it again. No more DLDB access for him >=).
MrrLL = new power abuse?
I don't even see why one would consider allowing it after already deciding not to. Its obviously unethical. If people protect thier maps, they don't want others in it, if they don't then they should expect/allow others fooling with it.
I, personally, think its a good idea, there are plenty of ways to learn how to do certain things (I am assuming thats the argument on why to accept it) and most unprotecting isn't for useful causes anyway.
