I'm working on an Aliens Themed Rpg and i would like to see some
ideas that you would like to see in my map. happy.gif

For Aliens I would say make it hack and slash, (read no battle arenA). Beyond that, I need more info about your map rofl. In a regular RPG , I want

immersive storyline
interesting characters
some items (doesn't have to be much)
different weapons
good use of doodads and sprites for mood. Thats all I got for now.

Well Right now I'm mainly working on terrain but I can tell You that there are going to be three main types of weapons smartgun, flamethrower, shotgun. And later on after Spoiler* several main characters die you can get a M.A.X. Unit (as seen in 'Aliens Beserker'). And there will be a lot of things to do plustitems like key cards armor better weapons etc. + a pretty good storyline that is original (Just used units from books and stuff and rolled it into map story). I also had an Idea for an elevator system where you could select the level you want to go to and it is working out so far.

1) I personaly think you should add some Weird Noises whenever an alien gets close that woudl really freek the player out

2) Mabe you could put some special Moves in depending on your character
(example > RapidFire < with a shotgun where you can shoot 3x as fast)

Ya I was planning on having some weird noises like a growl or his and I like your idea about special move but how would I do it. Also to freak people out I was going to put in things like having comp units follow you (that are your allies) and having them just dissapear into the blackness accompanied by a scream or sound of dying I thought that would freak some people out. blink.gif

I would like to see an RPG where you battled the other players by playing puzzles. The story could be affected depending on who won. Maybe you can only unlock certain puzzles by sending the story in a certain direction, or something.

id say either make it after a movie OR make the players have to rescue things that lead them into traps thats my opinion tho ill respect all ppls opinions pokey.gif

Secrets! LOTS OF THEM, i love to just play around in rpgs and find secret and weird things. Also include lots of complex missions, and seperate special ones for each character.

Well what I was gonna do for seperation creepines was make it so that when they step on a location 1 of them beams to someother point on the map and have it display something like "you fell through a hole" and then maybe turn shared vision off (I'm trying to figure out how to do this). I also got it so that medics blind everyones units at the beggining.
