That was it. It all had been done. Planned to a science and every variable and eventuality taken care of. I had done it. What is "It" you may ask? Well there in lies the problem. I shall tell you, young Executor, how in a single month, the rise and fall of a gaming empire was witnessed through my eyes.
I logged in. I thought everything was fine. I entered my clan channel, and my eyes scanned the list of people in the channel. I froze. A finger of ice took its sweet time traveling down my spine. My arms shook, unable to type. My fingers spasmed. There, in all his glory and fame, Tuxedo_Templar was there. As well as (U)Bolt_Head. Two of the best map makers the world of Starcraft has ever known. All that was missing was PanzerKavalier, king of RE, and BSTRhino, king of mods.
Tuxedo_Templar: Hello
S.T.A.R.S-Le0n: Hi
(U)Bolt_Head: Lets spare the long conversation. Le0n, we know.
That was all it took. Three lines that explained it. I could not fathom at first why in any form of reason, that those two would grace my clan channel with their presance. I knew why, to tell you the truth. I knew the one reason, that i helplessly denied, was the cause. "It"caused it all.
I know that you do not understand, as i have no fully explained. I wish i could. But i cannot find the words. Or perhaps i can. Perhaps i just dont want to. Ill take the latter.
You see i had a plan. A plan that was executed on December first, 2008. Blizzard had announced on September 22nd, that the Starcraft servers were being shut down. Starcraft 2 was not announced. Nor did i expect it ever to be. But that is another story.
Due to the shutdown "It" came into effect. My plan for the occurance, the inevitable occurance, of the shut down. The end of a generation of gamer who had had some of the best experiances of their life, staring at a screen. And on that screen was the name of a channel. Below it, a list of the people within. And to the left, the text explaining our legacy, one user's entry at a time.
"It" caused a stirr. Map makers pushed out high quality maps that were amazing. Cresent Dyne which was only 4 months out in its release spammed the game list. And this is why Tuxedo_Templar, and (U)Bolt_Head sat in my channel:
As a favor for SEN, Starcraft, and the community of gamers that inhabited it, they collaberated on the last map, and best map to ever grace battle.net.
And i had stolen it.
To be continued.....

You refered to something in the future as past tense. WTF?

It's used to get a more tense feel, I can't remember what it is called.
As for the story, I like it, and I wish you the best of luck. I really hope (U)Bolt_Head and Tuxedo Templar go together and make a wildly great map, though I just can't imagine how sad the world would be without the StarCraft servers. A miserable place, for sure.
