Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> 4 Variables, 3 Slots...

Ok I need 4 "things" to display on the screen at once:

- HP (I am going to use custom hp)
- Mana
- Money
- Level Up (HAS TO USE ORE or GAS)

Ok I can either remove one variable, but I truly don't know which because I want this to be a innovative kind of map... OR I can make the leaderboard switch to 2 boards to display... what should I do? Should I take out any or should I have a switching board?

Can't u do money as in gas or ore and levels in leaderboard?

My opinion is that you should have some beacon you can go to somewhere and while you're on it it sets either minerals or gas to your current money, then when you walk off it goes back to whatever it was. Money is probably the least useful one except when you need to buy stuff, the rest is nice to know all the time (things like if you're leveling up soon and level ups heal not to use a heal item, when you can cast spells)

Or you could have a beacon that changes your gas into minerals and minerals into gas. Bleh, I say do the double leader boards. Those are fun. So are 20 leaderboards.

What do you mean double leaderboards I don't undertsnad. You mean you can display more than one custom leaderboard?

Yes, because you set it to the number of deaths of certain units, which may be counters for certain things. Thus you can have more than one.

Also Custom is actually for every player, giving you 8 Custom amounts, which is useful, and work even if the player isn't present. I would only use Minerals and Gas if they don't get used at all, and Leadership Boards do make things simple, maybe have a feature, either beacons or dropships that toggle the Leadership Board you are viewing, rather than a Wait system showing them at different times, because sometimes the one you need to see isn't there.

Hell you could go made, for four and use the countdown timer!

The countdown timer can show 3 different counters (!) if two of them have a max value of 59. biggrin.gif But obviously it also is the same for all players.

Still, that would just be the best kind of Leadership Board ever! Maybe showing the date, and when it reaches 59, oh dear...something happens? End of the Game?

Double Leader Boards, end of story. Or you could use a mineral patch, or something. How many HP are we talking, here? If the most you'll need to display is like 80 you could just make 80 triggers, each one setting the mineral patch's minerals to the current # of HP. Just do ten every time you get on your comp, or something, it'll go quick.

Bah, it's stupid to have to go do something to see what you have. Just go with multi-leaderboards.

I say do double leaderboards because I've played some good Rpgs/others with double leaderboards and it didnt bother me.

Yeah, but if your going for the cool factor, having a CountDown Timer as your scoreboard would just be really cool? If you game is trigger easy, then adding it, would just be a nice feature!
