I was wondering which OS is compatible with all the Starcraft map editing files such as SCMtoolkit. I use windows 2000 and custom starcraft units don't work for me. :S

My old computer was a Windows 98 then converted to Windows 2000, now my computer is Windows XP all of these systems worked fine with all of my starcraft files.

All programs should be compatible unless you are using a Mac or Linux.

Windows 2000 was in fact the first system it was created on by the programmers, or some of them, anyhow.

Are you talking about StarDraft and WinMPQ, that sort of programs?

StarDraft was created a while ago, and in fact doesn't work because of the updated versions of Starcraft itself, not your computer. MPQDraft is the newer version, but if you create or edit units with StarGraft, then they will not work with the latest versions of Starcraft, because MemGraft hasn't been updated. So if you edit units with StarGraft, your have to use 1.10, and MemGraft as well, without going onto Battle.net.

I'm using Windows 2000 Professional Edition.

There have been no problems with any programs, and I got SCMToolkit working awhile back fairly easy. It was a great program of it's time, but won't have too many features to offer in this day and age that make it worthwhile.

Except that most people don't have the unprotection step up for it, rather for the old Pro Edit and such, though HEX Gods can get through anything anyone does!
