If the other Players, are owned by a Non-Neutral Computer, then go to the Triggers, choose the Player in question who you want to have do stuff, set the Condition to Always, go to the Actions and choose Ai Scripts from Location, and go to the bottom, it shows the basic Ai Scripts for all the Races, be it with Starcraft or Brood War and the level of difficulty as well. Insane isn't amazingly hard, but just difficult to beat down. Then they will start playing and moving, though it would be advisable if you want them to act fast, to place a few scv's, though not thousands.

I think (but not sure I never use these)that you use the run ai script at location trigger and have it terran campain insane or zerg campain insane or protoss campain insane (only if you want insane difficulty (I think))

The location you do the ai script on has to be over the comps base.

I suppose, but since he is a Moderator, it would be hard for him to raise our Warning Levels, so thats it for now, you feel release?

yes. In SCXE, (and SF i think) you have about 50 different computer AIs to choose from all with good description of what it is. Select one and it will run. If you're feelign flashy, find an AI scripting program and import your own AI (oh wait that requires a mod pinch.gif ). Oh well.

i heard u couldnt use ai custom ai scripts on bnet is that true?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mini Moose 2707 on 2004-08-12 at 00:58:39
If you mean something like "Terran Expansion Custom Level", you can use that. In fact, those are the default AIs run by computers in Melee games. If you mean Custom, as in AI Scripts you wrote yourself, no, you cannot use those.

I remember not knowing how to make the computer do stuff!
What i finnaly did was open one of those single player missions in StarEdit (Enslavers missions) to find out how to do it.

Just make a location over the Command Center/Hive/Nexus and run a Ai script on it.

Setting the Ai Script for the major location of the player is just useful, its the location of the Ai Town Centre that is important, if you add it, they will make sure to protect it from too much damage, and it will effect how they build, making that area defended and expanding from it.

Custom BUILT Ai Scripts can be used online, you just can't use them with someone who doesn't have the same MOD.exe as you.
