Gameplay

Each player has a base in each corner of the map.  They will have one SCV and one probe to start with.  The SCV builds buildings for additional men, such as the marine.  The probe builds buildings which transforms into other buildings like siege tanks and such.  The players will also automatically spawn men to send to each other's bases.  There will be mineral fields across the map for expansions and further mining.  Minerals will never disapear, but gas can be depleted.

You'll notice that I said that there might be four computer players. I am not sure if I want players to be able to horde the men that automatically spawn, or if I want them to be forced to attack. If I do add computer players, they will control the men that automatically spawn.

12/30/06-This is taking longer than I thought, mainly because I'm making things all symettrical and such, and I'm lazy. I am working on it though.

You should use Legions by Kenoli and a guy I can't remember as a thumbnail. Man, that map rocks. Good luck.

That i s pretty much the same thing as a hero...

Except it'll just be a stronger unit, not a hero unit that can take 5000 hits and then heal.

The map doesnt really seem to be like AoS. Maybe if you only bought armies and attack other base instead of making builings and selling.
For the name, maybe Fort Wars? Mostly because it sounds like a fort like or castle like game. Anyways good luck with the map.

what do you mean when you say probes buildings will transform into other buildings such as a siege tank. a siege tank isn't a building is it?

sounds considerably like Town Wars, I think the men that are spawned should just attack via AI, hording gets laggy and annoying when it starts saying CCMU. Good luck.

I'm pretty sure that this isn't new... not to mention that every MELEE MAP DOES NOT USE heroes....

You know how in AoS maps there are bases with cannons to defend the entrances, and then a central buildng defended by more cannons? You control this base.

Conditions:
¤ Current player brings atleast one "forge" to location X
Actions:
¤ Remove one forge at location "X"
¤ Create one Terran Siege Tank at location "Forge" for current player

Things I've decided on:
Spawned troops will be computer controlled. Nobody likes a horder.
I will keep the name "Bases" unless someone suggests something better
Expect the map to come out in January or late December. I will be working on it mainly over the Christmas break.
