okay i have made 2 units from 3ds max, when i exported them... then put them in the grp with retrogrp, it always screws up..

though, when i open my renders from paint, copy them, then paste them into the file of another sc unit's frame.. it seems to work. i have found its got something to do with the file size..

on a side note.. heres my grp edits so far... whats modded is: wraith, battle cruiser.
plz dont complain about the texturing tongue.gif

RetroGRP need RLE-encode format for compiling
and i think RetroGRP use different kind of format for every operation

So when u get a file from 3dsmax directly that could not works on RetroGRP
StarDraft-GRPediter does work without any file conditions
but in my wide experienced, RetroGRP has one of good forte
that make a file as low file size

Btw, when u do rendering try save file as FLC format (if model has many animations and frames)
FLC file has contain all frames in there,
u can set and get palette information for all frames without anything do
for change palette information with any image editor

Also that can use for any GRP which is having the count about 17 frames for unit

For your a work, both grps are well maded
the shape of their picture is looks reasonably good
if those are ur first work, u have talent for 3d art

try make a realistic texture for model then they will become as more fascinatly

oh its prolly because im not texturing them... more colours means bigger file size..

Well i think ur saying is kind of leap of logic
In Fact that isn't great difference of file size between many colors and simple colour
becuzz n e how the BMP file is just 8bit format on StarCraft game engine
that mean is the file size will not large size

Today, many of the computers has high powered performance or powered as well
as play without lag
So i think if u make texure with fully colours, that will be influences on lag not much
