And not jammin in the good way. It literally won't open. It WANTS to open, it clicks like it's opening and everything. Any suggestions before I take it apart tomorrow? tongue.gif

Hmm, does it have a small round hole on the front? If so you can manually eject it by pushing something that is in there that is for that purpose; I usually use a paper clip to push it. If you do use a paper clip, be sure to use one that isn't too much smaller than the hole. Straighten out the paper clip and push it in the hole far enough to make the tray go out.

After you do this it may be able to open and close normally again.

And actually.. That happens to me with my DVD reader, because once I took out sc left it open and when i moved my knee just smashed it tongue.gif
now it won't open, when that happens I do the paperclip thing, if i don't have something that can fit in the small hole I just hit the CPU right in the top and sometimes it comes out at the first time other times... I just hit it harder tongue.gif

Yeah, I double what ShadowFlare says happy.gif

What would taking it apart do..? ~.~ I wouldn't recommend that ;p

Fixed it. I went from "why would I stick something in the headphone input" to "OH, that hole". I had a similar experience with this girl once.

ADDITION:
Let me reopen this to ask.... is there any way to make it open without the paper clip now? It won't open any other way.

Hmm, if getting it open doesn't make it open normally again then I don't know what you could do with it. Lots of times just getting it open makes it not get stuck like that anymore (usually is just a one-time thing), but not always.

BTW, Corbo quoted that thing you said there in his sig. tongue.gif Whether it was intended that way or not, when I read it in this thread I at first didn't think of it in the way I did when I read it by itself in Corbo's sig. After reading it there, not in the context of this thread, it sounds so naughty. lol shifty.gif

You sure the front bezel of the CD Drive is correctly attached? You can remove the front of them and stuff, and if it's not correctly attatched, sometimes the little button you press wont push the button behind it... ~.~

If I press on the button a bit harder it opens normally. smile.gif

EDIT: Actually, it opens with normal force now. I think I just poked into the correct place. Thanks guys.
