I personally like x-tra editor the most because it is very versatile and trigger making is easy.

There is no best editor.

It's really personal preference that decides which editor is best for you, but If I had to choose, it would be SCMDraft.

Staredit for the basic terrain and Starforge for the advaced terrain.
It's not so complicated to be a melee map maker smile.gif

No editor in existance can do anything SCMDraft cant. SCMDraft can do anything that any editor can, including classic non-text triggers. GG'd.

X-tra editor is waste of download. SCMdraft beats all.

FartyEdit, StarForge, and the occasional hex editing.
I use FartyEdit the most and it is not up there, so I shall vote for StarForge.

StarForge, because it has the only sensible trigger editor.

I like scm draft for all execpt color text and a few adjustments I use xtra for that.
I think Xtra and scm draft are the best combo or SF and scm draft either way smile.gif

And what is wrong with text color in Draft? It has the same type preview like X-tra has + new colors. huh.gif

SCMDraft 2 For terrain, StarForge for triggering (What DTBK said), and I use X-tra rarely.
I like the triggering to StarForge because I hate having to filling in the stuff in Classic TrigEdit. >.<
