i always wondered y bnet made sum characters illegal because i started playing after they did that
does ne1 no y they r illegal?
Hmm...I don't know Exactly...B.net Didn't want it so that People would horde those illys, and sell them, or even trade them for massive amounts of Cd keys....Its Funny Why Blizzard Does those things -_- Just makes em worse for them also...
I belive Blizzard Had some kind of Error with "Short Names" like A and a) and also had problems with Illys such as $ and # but Blizzard also maybe wanted to block out illegal characters so they wouldn't bypass the filter like "@$$" and `B~itch`
Illegal accounts are accounts that could be created in the early years of Battle.net. They removed them probably because of future plannings like the @Lordaeron of WarCraft III users. They wouldn't want people having the accounts RandomName@Lordaeron on StarCraft

When people could create them they weren't illegal. They were just normal accounts.
Well...at West you see people actually selling Illys for 30$+...as in Right now of course -_-

You mean it's funny why those people do those things.
Just because you have an "Illy" doesn't mean you're better, it doesn't change anything, and it definitely...
DEFINITELY...
DEFINITELY IS NOT VALUABLE!"@Lordaeron"
Ya, I noticed.
I wanted to make A@lordaeron for SC sooo bad... )_=
LoL...Well its blizzards fault for making illegal characters...and half the fault to the people for making those illys apear "Rare" in some way...
Actually Blizzard removed illys because they allowed people to bypass their swear filter and make names like @$$ and B!tch, it has nothing to do with the WC3 @ thing. If you don't believe me I asked a Blizz rep in Open Tech Support.
hm..I didn't really think about @lordaeron when i posted that...Gibli...

I remember when it happened, They said then it was because people would imitate others, but is supose faking names like @$$ is also a reason.
