It's been while since Shaggy_da_clown and myself created the first Doom and I've been asked by many fans since Blizzard took off stacked text on tittle screen to fix it, unfortunatly we didn't have an unprotected copy of it. So, i decided to remake it and call it Doom II. for those of you who do not remember, or have not played the first Doom, it was PvP style, running around and picking up weapons and blowing each other away with unique weapons. What a great way to start off christmas! However I did work hard on the balance, some weapons were still pretty unbalanced, like the rocket launcher, so I'm doing a lot of changes to the map, and adding alot of new stuff as well. Don't worry you'll see some classic weapons as well! 6 different game types, 11 different weapons, 4 new maps plus a brand new score options and a weapon toggle system (for those of you who hated accidently picking up weapons). If you had a fav map on the original doom, please let me know what it was, maybe I could stuff it on this map. Another new feature will be traps, lure players into traps and set the trap off for an instant kill. Would be funny watching new players go on the trap and set it off themselves!

Sounds cool, but you should add halo wavs such as dominating killing spree, running riot, etc. And add player colors or player numbers for added effect. Good luck smile.gif

Heh, Way ahead of you! Of course to get killing sprees and such, you need a certain amount of kills with out dieing. Your minerals will show your amount of kills with that life and text colors change depending on the color you are. also I design something cool in the game (traps and explosive canisters) gives the game a nice touch. but now I need to figure out a nice respawn time 3 seconds or 5.. Oh yeah, and forgot to mention there will be a random spawn for anti camp.

Hey... Didn't you and Shaggy make Kill Arena?

I'm pretty sure a friend of mine (Firedragon_ed, he might've been under another name) tested it.

I tried playing it, but 1.14 caused a crash and we weren't able to play it.

I can't wait to play it since the first one you made. Some things I would like to see in it, smaller sized maps with lots of Deathtraps. Also did you ever consider gernades?

Yep, me and shaggy_da_clown created killing arena RIGHT after we made the very first doom. I do plan on making some smaller maps, and yes I have considered grenades but may throw the whole balance off course.

For the rocket launcher, maybe you could have a scourge or interceptor fly towards wherever you swarmed with a larger splash radius?

Also, if you need a tester or anything, let me know. I loved DOOM.

For the rocket Launcher.. I didn't use a defiler, however defiler is being used for a different purpose. I think the rocket launcher is a great weapon in this game though, mark my words. It's fun and effective!

You should make certain deathtraps + items in strange combonations unlock doors to powerful guns, which in turn makes it a better challenge in some cases ;D

hahaha,, I wouldn't dream of challanging you zeratul tongue.gif so yeah, I'll be honored to show you my map. A good post comment from you might spice this topic up some wink.gif

ADDITION:
New healing system added, I call it "Life Leech". Instead of having it set where no foes are near your location you heal, it's now set at, you heal after every kill or until you pick up a new weapon. Personally I like it.

Its kinda hard to make DOOM 3 (Such a wonderful game as I heard) if you need help. I'd consider that to be a project from some time.
