Is there a program that will put text or an image in the fog of war for you?

Sorry if I missed it in the tutorials.

I don't know of one.
Probably they just did it manually once and exported/imported it to other maps. Uberation could do that.

I am confused on what your asking... Are both of the screenshots above taken while you were playing a melee game, or is it a use map setting. Are you asking how you make text/images in the background using triggers? Please be more specific

There is a Fog of War layer in editors, and you can theoretically remove the fog of war in a pattern so as to generate an image. This is so rarely done, I don't think there is a program that does it for you. It would be an interesting thing to write, though.

UMS/Melee makes no difference, triggers aren't involved.

Melee wouldn't have fog of war revealed like that. Triggers aren't the only thing changed in melee; all units, fog of war, etc. are all disregarded.
