[attachmentid=22161] Obs Version

The decoration is alright (if I may be so bold). But I need more ideas for levels. If you have suggestions, please post them here.

Possible additions I've considered:

The ability to view tips for the level you're currently playing

Cheers,

PS: All levels are beatable (as I have done them myself). Give them a try if you're feeling gosu =)

I don't see how level 1 is going to be hard, can't you just do the marine trick where you keep attacking the lurker as it unborrows? Wait is the turret invinsible, if it is just never mind that^

Guardian against dropship with goliath or Reaver against dropship with Goliath.

4 ghosts against 3 zealot (uped range ghosts)

Well until I can think of more.

Oh yea for the archon/zealot thing, just make the terrain around the lurker closer so the lurker can hit anywhere in the island, just give the lurker to the cpu 5 seconds after you give the archon and zealot to the player.

Um, no. I want it to have more than 3 levels. I'm hoping for at least 20 before I can call it done, even then, it would be easy to keep adding onto it.

ADDITION:
Oooo, nice solution Ultra.

Erm, not sure what you mean by that. The idea is that the player dodges spikes, runs, and dodges spikes again. I guess you could run out of range and get the lurker to follow you, but that wouldn't be very fun. I'm just assuming the player understands the spirit of the exersise (which most of my demographic, melee players, will). If a player really wants to, he can abuse the flaws in computer AI all he wants =/ it won't help him when he decides he wants to try it In-Game.

Ah yes, there lies a good point. And for more good ideas, you should download my collection of Impossible maps.

For some reason the wait command is making the unit spawning screw up. =S I can't seen to get it to work. I will try again another day.

I'd rather not copy anything from another map. I'm just trying to put all those little things people do in melee that everyone was always too lazy to make a map for (cause it would just be one little thing). The dropship ideas are good though.

ADDITION:
Fixed and tested level 4.

Maybe a defiler and a marine vs a battlecruiser? There's endless possiblities.. Three hydralisks vs three zealots. A vulture vs whatever amount of zealots. Four ghosts vs six marines. Reaver & shuttle vs reaver.

just play some imp scen maps...there are some wacky ideas in some of them.

I'm neither looking to steal ideas from maps already made, nor that style of play. I'm focusing on 'pimp' moves very good players use, so that lower level melee players can practice them and feel pimp too. Impossible scenarios are often impossible to recreate in a real game. Although I'm aware some of the moves up there are very rarely given opportunity to show off, there are quite a few that do come up in game often enough to get them down.

In short, ranged VS. melee is pretty boring against a computer. You should be playing a human to practice those kinds of micro.

Thanks for understanding,

Mine is unique is that the Terrain doesn't look like complete trash, the level restarts instantly, and that it teaches different aspects of the game. I'm well aware there are at least 1000 micro maps. This one is better at teaching than others.

EDIT: No, they're not going to be original. They're all things I've seen in game. But how many times have you seen a move like that, wanted to try it, but were too lazy to make a map just for one little thing. I'm pretty sure that's exactly the reasoning those 200 people who downloaded it had. Anyway, no more arguing. Think what you want, I'm making the map the way I think is right.

ADDITION:
Observer version up.
