I have seen so many people say something along the lines of "That isn't music." And am simply wondering what it is that you consider music.
I have thought of ant sort of art (yes, music is a form of art) in a sense that was inspired from the Dada period and Marcel Duchamp. In that any form of art is considered so because we say it is. (L.H.O.O.K. is one of the most ingenious pieces of art in my opinion, but not for the artistic aspects we normally think of.
) It is not a defined term, and anyone who says they have created music, has created music. Even if the creator doesn't think it is music, as long as someone, anyone, will listen to the thing as music, then it will be considered music.
But I see that there remains arguments amongst the rest of you as to what music is, and I'd simply like to hear your theories on the subject.
