I was used to using Starforge all the time until it stopped working for me...i wanna know if there is an editor that can place square terrain and is just as good...

it just went straight to that page that says starforge has closed and asks me if i want to send error report

Try uninstalling then reinstalling it.

ive been trying to get starforge but it wont let mer i have too much bandwidth but scm draft works well but for me it wont place square tiles even when i change it from rectangular to square but i just go with it then i open my map um on xtra and do the triggers it works soo awsame >:)

sumtimes starforge messes up with comments, like say if i duplicate a trigger and change the comment in scxe it will be like blank sumtimes or the same as other ones even if i change it so b4 i do sumtin major to a map i change filename

yea ive had similar problems... so i decided to just use scxe for triggers cuz its a bit less confusing and starforge isnt finished i think right? someone correct me im kinda new with it

Basically, everytime you change a unit name (custom name) or make a comment, bleh forgot the rest...it creates a string. The string limit is 1024 strings. Strings aren't triggers, they are just made when comments are made...

Look in the SF string table. It has a list of things that are strings. If it's in the table, it's a string.

What OS are you running? If XP, then right-click on the SF icon, goto properties, then compatibility and set the compatibility mode to w/e you want and see if it works. I run XP Home on 2 of my comps, but i dont use SF so i dont know. I use SCXE for everything.
