I've been making an RPG, and I just have run out of ideas. I was wondering if there were any bright minded people out there who could lend me a few ideas. These are the ideas I've already thought up and are in the game.
Secondary Weapons (Virtual Ammo)
Battlesims (Mini games etc.)
And I need some more ideas, maybe better. I want this RPG to be the best I can possibly make it.
Mini games, like a fishing contest or something like it.
I tried pets before in my old RPG. Doesnt work well in Battle engine rpgs that require tba.
Mini games is in the Battle Sims category.
I mean pets as in sidekicks, if that's what you mean.
You could make difficultly levels (easy, normal, hard)
Also you can make a character recover system....
using password for the character and its level.
(Example: Bob level 1, 198373...Bob Level 2, 783920)
Its prob. not that hard if u don't have a lot of characters or levels.....
pass word could be typed in using a system of beacons.....
Or they could... Save the game? But you could add vehicles, such as tanks and scourges, if they seige they get out of the tank, if they sit still very long they get out of the scourge

The password system is meant so that u can join a new game but start off with ur old character....
oh ya another feature u can do Durability/Ammo for weapons....
Difficulty levels sounds nice, but password recovery could use up too many locations. Just how do you make a map harder anyway.
Just set a switch depending on what level they choose and basically make triggers for 3 maps, just different difficulties depending on the level.
difficultly level... easy-25% enemy hp/normal-50% enemy hp/hard-75% enemy hp/Insane-100% enemy hp.....
