My computer is dead. I've been setting up my gf's with my passwords and crap as of late. I still don't have my msn... or any of my programs. I spammed her harddrive and my spare harddrive full of tv eps and crap (she loves csi
) so I got a bit of sorting to do. This also means I have to ask for your SEN name if you message me... I lost my trillian renames. I'm not good with hardware, but here's the deal: It won't power on at all, yet power is surging through it to power on the keyboard. The mouse used to go on... now it doesn't. Damn kitten is chewing on wires... but I think the issue is the power box or possibly, but hopefully not, the mobo. Let me know if you got any advice.
Moose has been doing a god damn good job, and I'd like to publicly thank him for his hard work in my continual absence.
As far as the server, we need someone with experience configuring and optimizing mysql. Let either of us know if or what you know.

It sounds to me as your power supply is too weak to power your computer... add any new hardware to the computer recently..?
You can always try switching RAM in and out, if you have two sticks just try using one... and resetting the CMOS can't hurt either..

I agree with Deathawk. It sounds like the power supply isn't providing enough power for all the hardware. This could be caused by 1) adding a pwnage video card with huge power requirements, or 2) a failing power supply. If you haven't added any new hardware recently, then it would be smart to replace the power supply. They're cheap enough, though you must be sure that you don't use a generic brand - They are more prone to overloads...
If you haven't already, Deathawk is also correct that a hard reset of the CMOS and a RAM test are in order. I suggest browsing PC repair forums to see if you can get a recommendation for a RAM testing utility as well as the procedure for resetting the CMOS, if you are not familiar with it already.
