First off: I'd like to say I have nothing against you personally Pyro-Fire, but I don't think you're cut out to be a moderator. Just my opinion.
Now, to back up my claims.
First off, let's look at the big picture. The modding forums are already moderated by Farty, Voy and EzDay, all capable modders and respected members of SEN. Besides that, not much moderation is required in these forums, as modding in itself seems to tend to attract a smaller crowd, and therefore is easier to handle.
The UMS Assistance forum is moderated by Red2Blue, a new moderator and respected mapper, Mini Moose, site Admin, Tuxedo-Templar, probably the most respected mapper I know of and a very knowledgeable member of SEN, PCFredZ, who I don't really know too well, but I've seen some of his work and I'd say he's fit for the job, and fritfrat(U), a very active member in that forum who has helped out countless people in the past. In my opinion, they're more than enough to delete the occasional comment and move the occasional thread.
The Misc. forum is moderated by DTBK, who has more than proven that he will not tolerate crap, CaptainWill, a very mature and capable member, MilleniumArmy, who, truth be told, I don't actually see very often, Rantent, a respected member capable of handling most if not all situations that have as of yet occurred and Doodan, who we all know is an excellent moderator, more than fit for the job.
So why do we even need more moderators in those particular places?
And now on to Pyro himself.
I see him often in the Modding Assistance forum, but he seems less knowledgeable in comparison to other members there, most of all our current moderators. As well, his post quality is not overly high.
Let's move over to UMS Assistance. After looking through every thread on the first page (30 threads on mine), I've seen Pyro-Fire once, where he was closing a thread, and he didn't even seem sure of himself. I really don't think that someone who doesn't post in UMS Assistance belongs as a Moderator there.
Finally, Misc. I, personally, don't believe I have seen him very often there. Looking at his profile, we see that his highest post count in any forum is 141 in Modding Assistance. This means that he has
even less in Misc., whereas many members have more than their cumulative post count in Misc (for example Doodan has over 2000 posts in Misc, with not even 1000 cumulative posts). I really think that Pyro needs more experience in his forums before he can be set out to moderate them.
Next, he is not as active as some of our other members. He has 0.4 posts per day, and only claims 80 cumulative posts in his run, which started in May.
He also has a tendency to create not-so-helpful posts and topics.
Examples of such:
http://www.staredit.net/index.php?showtopic=36789&hl=In this example, he has spammed the website feedback forum. Doodan states that he may be warned for it.
http://www.staredit.net/index.php?showtopi...ndpost&p=606541In this example, not only has he failed to enclose LA's text into a quote box, but he has failed to read and comprehend what is being said. Failure to think before posting does not make a moderator.
Well, that's all the stuff I'm willing to dig up for you. If it sways your opinion or not, whatever.
Again, nothing personal against Pyro, I just don't think he's deserving.
