1st : Bound type
Imagine that : it is NOT you that is doing the bound, but the CPU! You, you just CONTROL that CPU with a kind of 'remote control'... would be cool heh? I even did a test and it's working... but long to make triggers if the terrain is big!
2nd : Normal multi-player game type
[Mini-map skills]
At start, you have a DropShip and the normal start units and building.
During all the game, the screen is center on the DropShip... like that, you will need to use the mini-map to do a long distance attack (because you won't be able to just right click in the game screen), you will need to use groups (Ctrl + 'number') because you won't be able to select them all the time and you will also get to think about how you gonna use your groups because you have a limit of 10 groups... think wisely!
3rd : Normal multi-player game type
Really simple, but cool idea : You let players choose their race before the game. And to makes that going Really cool, you would have scripted (triggers) the map for that it makes all races have the same Advantage/Disadvantages...
For example :
You choose Terran at start.
You get a Command Center and 4 SCV.
There, when you will build with one of them, depending on wich alternative race you've selected at start, it will makes a strange thing happen : let's say you have selected Protoss as alternative race. To build buildings, you will need a pylon energy (it would be a Supply Depot) to build around it and you will be able to construct a multitude of buildings with the same SCV... how? When your SCV start constructing, it makes an other SCV for a certain amount of time depending on what you gonna construct with it, then, it will die...
Do you get what I mean?
1st one: Using hypertriggers might make it work, but it just seems much more annoying, not fun, than what you would normally do
2nd one: Same as first, just more annoying and less fun than the usual way.
3rd one: This is the only one I can see going anywhere at all, but I don't see how you could set up the triggers to do it, since it is very hard to detect when an SCV is building, and how are you going to set up a zerg race?
Sorry if I sound very negative, but most of the ideas just seem to be ways to make starcraft more annoying.
