I've been working for some time on a RPG map that's set in a fantasy world, with the gates of hell unleashed and stuff like that.
My big dilemma is whether do I use made-up names (like Anatys, Ornon, Nakim, Jaheira) or existant names (like Gunther, Marduk, Locke, Kaleb) ?
What would you guys suggest ? If you would play a RPG map with the story NOT taken ... would you like to see some new but maybe lame names ? Or existant ones, just the names, not the characters they usually represent ?
It doesnt matter, as long as its a good one that fits the map style.
Also, wrong section >_>
It's about my map. I just didn't name it out loud, yet.
What section would've been better ?

Moved to Ideas Forum~I agree with Echo. As long as the game is good, then the names won't realy matter. i think there was a site where you can create names according to race. Like a name for an orc or an elf. I forgot the site though
Googling "fantasy names" will yield lists and name generators. So when I'll decide if I use made-up or known names, it'll be easy.
But I still haven't decided yet. 2 people said that it doesn't really matter. Any other opinions ?
Your title also has follow your storyline of ya RPG as well sticking to it kinda in the game play. I've known a few people whom named RPG after there name, like could just do start off with Mydas RPG. But lets see, i try give you a few names off top my head.
