This might not belong here if so move it...can't think of were to put it.

I looked at the US copyright office but I can't get the info I need

1. How and where ( I beleive for $40 ) can I copyright a name, for my friend's and my company.

2. How and where can I copyright computer games?

You can get the papers at some libraries. All you need is to ask for them and get copies. There is also the Library of Congress website, which has just about every kind of form you need if you know how to search for them.

Well first you gotta make sure it isnt being used (That wouldnt be pretty) tongue.gif

Copywriting computer games is probably expensive...Why not just say its copywrited but it really isnt tongue.gif unless you plan to profit from this

Although not listed exclusively, I'd imagine a video game falls under the general umbrella of an audio/visual work. You can see there that the fee would be $45 along with the completed forms and a copy of the game. This is the one I used to get my movie copyrighted.

As for your company, this place looks kinda promising. Although I wouldn't worry about going through the hassle unless your company starts earning money and you have to deal with taxes. Currently my movie "company" isn't official, cuz its not made any money.

thx but really not what I'm looking for. I want to copyright a name to myself and my friend. Not start liek a company. But the audio/visual work was helpfull thx.

if you are trying to copyright a name that would fall into the catagory of trademarks if i am not mistaken
