Many times, people called Battle.net by replacing the "." as "dot" from speaking by voice but that's a mistake. From this poll, I want to know how people pronounces Battle.net. Some say B-Net as a short term like SEN to StarEdit Network or SC to StarCraft. How do you pronounce Battle.net?
I pronounce it "Battle Net".
How is it a mistake? If you're talking of the website www.battle.net, it is perfectly acceptable. You're not going to say MSDN Net.. you're going to say MSDN dot Net.
The actually system in the games though, would be Battle Net, and short term being B-Net.
Just what my thoughts are ^_^
wheres the all of the above?
I don't want everybody choosing that answer, your answer should be the most common.
And as for Undead, it's just my oppinion but it's literally an accident. Sure it's a website but isn't "Battle.net" the multiplayer of StarCraft, WarCraft, and Diablo? I mean seriously, you can contact each other in a different Blizzard Game, playing online games, etc. If there was StarCraft: Ghost on Xbox, there are chances that it'll connect to PC games but it depends how Blizzard design to make it possible.
I always have and probably will always call it "Battle Net."
Battle Net but B.net if i'm lazy.
I usually type out Battle.net, but if I'm arranging to play a game with my brother or my friends, then I call it "B-Net".
I think he means vocally, like you were talking to your friend sitting next to you.
I say "Battle net", but sometimes I say "bee-net" if I feel saying the rest of the syllables is just a waste of breath, time, and effort. (I'm that lazy ) QUOTE(O)FaRTy1billion @ Jan 12 2007, 10:09 PM)

Well, that's what I meant when I was explaining how I call it Bnet to my friends and my brother (who are often sitting in the same room).
I Usally Say B.net or Battle.net
'Battle net' all the way.
Battle Net. Why would anyone pronounce a dot? Or make a whole small word into a letter?

They would pronounce it with a dot because there's a dot, just like websites... "dot com". And as for the small word into a letter... it's basicly a faster way to say it like SC is to StarCraft and SEN is to StarEdit Network.
Hmm.. dot com.. I see your point. But abbreviating to bee net is plain unnecessary.
Battle dot net
I do believe that the official term for the network on which Blizzard games are played is 'Battle dot Net.' I say this because if you go to battle.net, the title of the page is 'Battle.net - Welcome to the Battle.net website.' They are using 'Battle.net' as a proper noun, clearly implying that it is the correct name. If the '.' wasn't meant to be pronounced then it wouldn't be in the name.
Do you say "pee dot emm dot" when saying things like "12 P.M."? It's basically the same concept in my opinion.
battlenet, although sometimes i say battle dot net.
