Folding@Home is a project designed to simulate the folding of proteins, which can show (and actually have shown) how many diseases, illnesses, and deficiencies develop and work. Beyond that, this program can show how just about anything on the molecular level can work. Already, Stanford University (the host of Folding@Home) has published papers on nanotechnology, cancer, drug design, etc.!

Folding@Home only uses your processor's spare cycles, so you don't get "accidentally" fragged while helping to cure cancer. If you want, you can manually adjust the percentage of processing capability that Folding@Home uses. I encourage you all to sign up for, download, and run this program!

It's not going to get any activity as an advertisment. sad.gif A lot of forums have one of these things and their members participate religiously, but then again those are all computer forums.

I'm going to get F@H set up on this computer soon, I just got it.. =\
