Storyline / Introduction

In the medieval ages, devil is back to reign on the Earth!
YOU're the only one to be able to kill all the monsters and Demons...
If you fail, the Earth will fall with you!



Features


-Player Interface
At start, you choose a character, then, you have your own skills, spells, attribute, etc...
To have access to a quest, you need to "talk" (go near) to a certain player, then, that person will tell you how to realise the quest and these type of things.

-What's new in your map that others have not done before?
All the others Diablo's maps are pretty bad and they only let you fight with some monsters, upgrade, and save stupid civilians... in that map, there is gonna be ACTION and ADVENTURE!
We are doing everything we can to make that map the most similar to the original game! Same terrain, quests, spells, etc...

Add which people who is on this project. Also, I think I will start with the terrain tomorrow. Just one question. Doeas the terrain have to be anything like Diablo? In case it has to, please make a quick drawing in pain so I know where to place stuff.

ADDITION:
Oh, and one more thing. I won't be using badlands, I'm no good at that. Anyways, badlands wouldn't work very well with Diablo.

Why did you set me up as Diablo XP? I never played Diablo before, or I just crated a character or got to level 5 or something. I suck at it.

Looks good but i think its impossible to make real D2 in SC.
How u gonna make all rare items?
And how about magic items with totaly randomize atributes?

In short wed need nothing short of Cresent Dyne's inventory of items and then some. I honestly dont have much hope for this project but ill do my best to help it none the less.

Ok... for the objects... we just gonna make some... you understand that we won't be able to have full of them... or else, we could use switch and text... but you won't have other thing to know what's your weapon else then having a little display of text... I think this is the best way.

I have an idea for an armour system, combined with vHP. Each time you upgrade your armour, you swap the burrowed units under your hero to something with more life. It would give us at least 7 different armour classes, don't know if that would be enough though.

Or you can do my way, I had the same problem so yeah. Just have one burrowed unit with 1000 hp and each armor has a different hp percentage. Each time you get close to an enemy you detect which armor u have using DC and then create the burrowed unit and edit the % for it.

I can do those triggers, they take like 15 minutes to do (but not to perfect).

Good luck on this map i if you need I might be able to help with testing or terraining an act but I cant really dedicate to triggering since I got other projects to do

Its actually easy if you think about it, each time an enemy enters your location. Depending on wat armor count you have, you get a burrowed unit with a certain percentage. But the bad part is that, theres not a good inventory system to keep track of all of your armors so yeah. If you can find a way around it then its a good system.

Well, it depends on wat the units hp is so yeah. If you want a bunch of armors go with the units HP being 1000, and then each armor will be like 1%, 2%.

An unit with 10 000 HP, it's possible?
Because it would help...
When the HP would be in the 1000+(between 1000 and 1100, for example) = weapon, in the 100+(between 100 and 200, for example) = armor, etc...

You can have a unit with 10000 HP, it only won't diplay.

An other question : can we detect, not a pourcentage, but a specific number (25/50 HP, I would like to detect '25' and not 50%!)?

No you cant, you can only change it by percent and thats all. Also if u do the armor like that also add in an HP DC to keep track of ur hp and wat not.

You can actually find the hp, using EUD triggers. But as 1.14 came out, EUDs became nearly impossible.

Well not anymore because of 1.14 tongue.gif Unless some1 found out a way to go around that and somehow get the EUDs to work again. Probably not, also when will you be posting screenshots of the map. Im looking foward to this version of a Diablo map.
