Ok umm there is a unit and I cant edit its damage or w/e cuz its Greyed out, so what do I do? How to edit the unit?

There's a little box at the upper corner in the Unit editor area that says "Use defaults". Uncheck it. If that still doesn't help, then maybe the unit cannot have attack damage at all (like defilers and dark archons).

It was alan shezar or something, the goliath hero which wouldnt edit with starforge cuz thats what I mainly use. However i also use SCM draft and SCX (for triggers, while im learning)

The problem is that you are editting the goliath, not the goliath turret, scm and starforge both have the unit and the unit top, to add attack you would change the top.

Starforge should work in editing the goliath and tank turret damages, as well. Note that if you save a map in starforge or scmdraft and open it with xtra and save, all damage info is lost. This loss of information is also done in the reverse direction, as well.
Basically, use SCMDraft for everything and you have nothing to worry about

I'd hardly call the other editors crap, but scmdraft is my personal choice. I suppose since you are only using that editor and got understand it for that editor...
