1) Which IScript editor (ice, icecc, icexp, etc) is best to use for IScript editing and is there any sort of general "getting started" tutorial or whatever for IScripting?

2) Where are the sounds (actually voices I suppose) from the SC campaign and how do I get them out (WinMPQ maybe? but then which mpq file, I couldn't find the sounds I wanted in broodat.mpq or stardat.mpq)?

Although some people will say that Ice/IceXP is easier to use, it's limited. In my opinion, if you want to be less limited by everything, use IceCC 1.3.

The sound files for the campaigns are located inside install.exe on each cd.

The unit sounds are in the stardat and broodat IIRC...

Since no one mentioned where to actually get some of the things you need, I'll do so.

First off, IceCC 1.3 can be found at http://sfsrealm.hopto.org/dwnload.html#IceCC
As for the campaign sounds, you will need a filename list to be able to access them through WinMPQ. There is a package of these lists for various games at http://www.zezula.net/ In WinMPQ there is a tab in the options that has to do with setting up options for these lists.

Well I have an IScript editor now, thanks, as well as the location of the sounds I was looking for.
There's still part two to my first question;

and is there any sort of general "getting started" tutorial or whatever for IScripting?

I made a thread about this a while back and nirvanajung provided me with this link which helped me a lot.

Thanks. I'll check the link.

ADDITION: Hmm, looks good. That's it then. *Closes topic*
