Interior Database Preview
Here is just a glimpse of what my Interior Database is turning into. These were all taken in-game with normal unit vision. No custom vision, no tricks, no lighting editing. The first of the group is of a magic shop where the cauldrons of liquid are mixed by the shopkeeper to make Ether or other items. The others are in the respective order of a storage hall, tavern, jungle cave, and cavern. Note that no doodads or fancy setups appear in these rooms for they are templates to start upon.

As one would expect from you, they all are great. Pretty much perfect blends.

I would give them all 9/10, the last one 9.5/10.

To be honest, some stuff gets a little repetitive. Especially in the 3rd one as it is unlikely that all the walls are covered with grass looking the same all the time.

They are all man-made. Note that this is called Interiors and not Natural-Caves. There is a reason for the symmetrical blends and neat layouts.

It obviously is some kind of plant, though, and plants do not look all the same.

It's impressive that people can make such impressive blends with such a simplicity. Also I got kinda chocked when others haven't found even one of those blends before, Imean, it's just four tiles blended together. You're doing great WoodenFire, just as you did before. Keep searching for perfection and you'll find it!

I've seen them all before, but they are still pretty cool.

I should start doing more of my interiors sometime.

5/10

The terrain is good, but it never gets much better or different.

WoodenFire makes great terrain, no arguing that, and this looks good too. Only, it's a bit plain, but I would guess that's because it is a template. 7.5/10.
How's Crescent Dyne coming along anyways? Haven't been much updates around.

That terrain IS from Crescent Dyne, and he does make good terrain... but it usually only looks good in game, and seeing as he previously said Terrain is art, and seeing as it only looks good in game... he has bad artwork, hense the bad rating.

And the fact that he is always doing the same old stuff with different combonation of blends.

I know it's from Crescent Dyne, I just wondered how the MAP came along. No updates on the Crescent Dyne homepage, so I thought that maybe someone would answer here.

Wooden will never finish Crescent Dyne...when he does, it will be 4 different maps.

Seeing how far WoodenFire has gotten in 1 and a half year, I would think he would finish before too long.
And actually, it won't be 4 different maps. Look at Rush, and see how much you can get out of one map, man, Rush is even 192x256, it's not maximum size.

Magic Shop - 8.5/10 - I don't really like it, but nice blends nonetheless
Storage Hall - 9.5/10 - Love it smile.gif
Tavern - 9/10 - The whole "counter-esque" thing looks really cool, but not at all man-made
Jungle Cave - 9/10 - Not much to say. Nice blends going on. smile.gif
Cavern - 9.5/10 - Certainly doesn't look man-made, but I do love the way it looks. Kind of like... Oh, I dunno. A cavern? wink.gif

...and I guess while on the topic, I thought I'd ask. Would you approve of borrowing your blends (looking at the pictures and trying to mirror them)? Helps me out with learning blends more, and as everyone says, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Really nice blends, a little blocky in some places but really good. Ten times better than I could ever do. These all look like caves and what not, but, what're ya gonna do? :/

1: Cool, but the left wall looks a tad odd.
2: Left doorway, giant line. Ew. Nice otherwise. Don't like the top wall blend too much though.
3: Like the counter a lot. The doorways are nice too. Probably my favourite of the 5.
4: Again, that left door. Grass looks nice against the wall, but not too nice.
5: Eh, jutting rocks are the same everywhere. Even if it is man-made, I don't like the look of it.

Good work overall.
