ok i have tryed sevreal aways now and i justd unno.

how do i get computer units to attack from point a to point b.

want them to attack when they within range.

ive tryed attack to location a from b but they only attack if they get hit then only for a bit
ive tryed run ai script on randum suicide mission and on strategic. but they seem to wanna attack the otherbuildings and units i have on map. the upgrade buildings and civs for buying units.

i just dunno. what should i do to make the computer attack from point b to point a when they within range of an enemy building or unit?

ive tryed patrol as well. they walk to point a then stay there. and its the same they some of the say 10marines will be getings hot at by player units only like 3 will shoot back rest will keep walking. i want all to shoot back if they within range. if they not within range they should keep walking to point a or walk over and help. i dunno how todo this.

you tried using locations? telling them to move to a certain location? if that person is enemy, they should immediatly attack... if not, you could always make computer be enemy with w/e its trying to attack by AI script i believe...

Use patrol instead of attack and a chain of patrol orders to reduce the "patrolling" side-effect.

i have 1 location at start and end. u mean ading others inbetween?
and ive tryed move command before they walk from point a to point b alota def games use em so they dont attack. but i want it to be a little harder then just killing units that run by. want to make it so u kill them or they kill u

Patrol guarantees the ordered units to retaliate within range of enemy units, but the downside is that they will patrol back and forth rather than stay at their ordered destination. You could halt this by either using a chain of patrol orders towards their destination or by having a move/attack order occur when the units enter their destination.
