The map Azalea is a very popular, balanced, and good map.
But, as a jew, i was VERY offended by the shape of the map, "swastika". (The Nazi flag)
I guess that that was not the purpose of the author, and I do know that in some cultures it has different meaning, but this would be the reason for me, not to play this map.
Do you mean azalea? Level ground, 4 players at 11, 1, 4, 8 with one opening to nat/minonly expo?
You think Azaelea looked like a swastika? Look at River of Flames... and that map was a pro map. I don't think Azaelea is popular at all by the way, it's just not an interesting map.
Obviously it isn't the authors intention, it's just and easy way to make the game flow. It's really sad how that symbol has been assosiated with evil by so many. You don't have to be a jew to be offended by Nazi memorabilia. However this is not.
Even though I always avoid using the symbol in any art/maps I do, I feel it's entirely a shame because it's such a versitile shape. I don't expect the symbol to ever turn neutral in my lifetime though. Oh well.

Azarea changed to Azalea!
You do realize that the "swastika" goes the other direcdtion, yes???
I don't come to these forums due to people like this...
But you do come because of people like me.
Actually Falcon, you don't come to these forums because you don't make maps.
PS: The German Nazi symbol actually does go the same direction. Away from the center and to the right.
The nazi-swastica IS bent the same direction as Azalea.swastica @ wikiAzalea
This is no reason not to play Azalea, though. Rather take its imabalance z>>p.
A swastica can have lots of different meanings, check out wiki for some ideas about that. And since you already assume that it was not intended - what is wrong?
If you want to see swasticas in maps, you will see them. Many 4 player maps have them.NazcaTaklamakhan
If you put some more fantasy into it, you can find a swastica in about every 5th map or so...
