I personally like 1 Player ones.
No one can get in your way, and you get to do whatever you want. smile.gif

NOTE: I'm making a remake of the original N64 Game Super Mario 64 into a cool RPG Map instead of the current RPG I am doing. (It WILL be a 1P Game wink.gif )

1 player = developper concentrating on the sole 1P experience; nothing else. Attempting to make something multiplayer usually need some solo-gamming sacrifices.

Solo RPG is best. You can emphazise more on the actuall gameplay insted of multi player issues.
And you m\can load maps and have many maps instead of 1.

You know, people should make more Solo RPGs.
There are only a few Solo RPGs.

I was going to make a Legend of a solo RPG. I wasn't going to be a classic it was going to be a legend.
But my dad deleted the whole hardrive and I lost it all.
It was going to be a legend, but my dad deleted it and the day before that i finished the second map and it was so hard.

i won't start from scratch againg.

i like playing it in single player and using cheats to get pwnage upgrades happy.gif

It depends. A GOOD RPG that has anti-cheats and hacks and is better than 99.99999% of all other RPGs would be a yes.

i beat shapeshifters in single player with cheats happy.gif it was pretty boring lol and now in multiplayer its boring, i also beat like daegors rpg with cheats happy.gif i also like beating defense maps with cheats

Yeah, I'll make Anti-Cheats for those cheaters out there wink.gif

Report, edit, etc...Posted by MapUnprotector on 2004-08-13 at 21:52:27

Ever thought of not cheating?
It's much more fun and challenging.

one player rpgs definitely are awesome... its ezier to write a storyline and plot for just one person and no ones there to get in the way....

Yeah... And I hate TBC RPGs where all heroes attack at the same time. I'm making a one player RPG Where it's TBC, and you have minerals for health. Kinda like Pokemon cuz you only do 1v1 battles... but you can find secret summons, buy/sell weapons and other stuff... too hard to make with Multiplayer and Cram the Storyline in... and triggers...

depends on the RPG
mostly i liek single player even though i feel alone i normally tell one of my other friends to dl the game and play it "with" me.

But if it takes liek 7 ppl thats stupid. Thats why most final fantasy rpgs dont go so well on bnet lol

I like single player RPGs (better if there were more character selection); I like the fact that you could basically take as long as you want, with no lag or anything.

Solo Rpg are better than multi i think my reasons being:

No lag
More Freedom

More freedom, I mean by two ways:

1. The player can choose to go what ever way he wants without some ass wipe saying no you n00b this way and you all die.

Second way is for the creater, You get mroe freedom of more triggers, more sounds And eveything.

So i prefure Solo as i like single player better tongue.gif blink.gif

One player... I never finished a one player, even a crappy one..
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MapUnprotector on 2004-08-14 at 14:00:56
multi would require more triggers especially if u have like a complicated system involved, you would have to duplicate it for each player but change certain things like location which is very time consuming

I hate solo rpg's, i never play by myself on starcraft. I would get lonely and bored all by myslef!
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Daigotsu on 2004-08-14 at 21:09:31
Solo RPG's are the best. There are just so many things you could do when it's just you. Plus there fun.
