are there any programs or mods that can make the computer more challenging?

[sub]Not that I know of, the comps can be pretty powerful as they are now though. Try taking 7 on a map like Wheel of War.[/sub]

There are a few mods, such as the Racine AI.

Some of Racine's AI is included in the BWAI project, if I remember correctly...

BWAI project is the best. Though I think the comps on it get extra minerals. But still fun.

Some do, it's true, but only for the sake of a challenge. They need SOME way to make up for the lack of micro.

Lack of micro? They control every unit at once, I think an ideal AI should have a script that pulls units back correctly, uses hit and run for vults and stuff. I understand, however, that this isn't ideal and understand why it gets extra minerals.

God comps need improvement. I mean, I have to urge myself not to just cannon myself in and make 528128 carriers.

That's what I mean; AIScript is limited, and things like that are impossible to do.

Right, I don't think we actually disagree on anything ;P

Actually there is an AI that has the functions like hit and run but it's in beta version right now - It's called Ahzz AI but only the old version is downloadable (which doesn't have the hit+run techniques that humans have). It's having major problems with air units though so I think it's been delayed a lot

Do you have any info on it? Or a link or something?

Well, there are ai's integrated with maps that use TRIGGERS to show basic microing early in the game (worker harass), but AIScript itself is much too limited.

The BWAI project is good, like everyone's already said...it might involve the one that I remember that would beat me unless I was a detestable human being and had fun with miner freaking them (it stilll chases with all scvs xD)

That doesn't sound like a smart AI!
