hey i just signed up
and i was wondering if you've created alot of triggers, do some of the triggers tend to stop working? Like is there a limit to how many triggers you can use? I'm not sure if i explained right..

thanks

Explain a little bit more next time please. I think no one has ever reached a trigger limit although I belive there is one like at 65353 or some big number like that.

ok i dont mean the # of actions/conditions in one trigger, i mean would making a lot of triggers make staredit sometimes deactivate a trigger for another to work?

and what is string limit? thanks ppl

String limit is the maximun number of texts you can have.

I don't think no one has ever had that problem. It would create lag but I don't think it will deactivate a trigger.

There is no trigger max, if there is it is so high you will never reach it, even if you make maps for the next 4 years strait and put all the triggers all into one map.

No triggers do not stop working. You have proboly made a error that you don't understand.

I can't fit the map through cuz it's 8 million bytes... but I can send the soundless one... or send it through AIM...

The Starcraft Tetris map uses an enormous amount of triggers. I doubt you could make more than it has manually, they had to use a script to automatically write all of them for them.

It has less than 1000 if i recall.

I agree that probably no one has reached a trigger limit. But there is 255 location limit tho it is a little off subject (had a boring day figuring out location limlt...) But have you ever noticed how the stupid number 255 is the limit to so many things!? IT IS MY LEAST FAVORITE NUMBER IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE! I however bear no grudge toward 254 or 256 offtopic.gif sorry

1111 1111 = 255 in binary = one byte

One byte of information can store 256 differant values (includeing 0), this is why so many things max out at 255.
