Here's a screenshot of one of my maps that has "Null" (Black) terrain in it. I'm using SCXE, I was wondering if any of you others got problems like this, it's odd.

Use any other null tile from the master pallet except the first one.

Yeah I got the same problem once. You're most likely using 0-0, the default null. just change it to another one and it should be fine.

0-0 is the best null though because it's more glitchy. wink.gif

Oh yea there is no other null. Null means nothing and that's why SCXE screws up because it doesn't read the void properly.

I've had other null tiles do the same afterimage thing that 0,0 does, so it's not exclusive to that tile. It just has to do with the properties of each particular tile.

The null tile dosent do anything to the map, it just looks screwed up in the x-tra editor and staredit and it might confuse you.

Did you know you can build on it? I made a map where you only have 1 tile of dirt to build cannons on. biggrin.gif

Yeah, it just screw a lot of stuff up on my map because it's hard to place locations/units with all that crap.
