Ion Cannon Defense
Ok, this map was intended to be a melee-vs-UMS map. I thought the original idea was pretty fun. Have one player with a cannon in the center of the map, this player would use D-web to fire his cannon. He would not have vision with himself, as to prevent using the 'sair for scouting. The ion cannon is also a weak 'fort' it can hold up to 4 infantry, and has a medium range cannon (tank). The most great part of the map is the energy system, as the player produces more plants, their power grows faster, and as the player builds more batteries, their max power grows. This system is already finished, and I strongly suggest not messing with it, as it took forever to make and troubleshoot.
The two reasons I stopped are as follows:
1. I figured it would be quite boring for the players defending and attacking the ion cannon, as there is nothing different from a regular melee, except a concrete objective. I expect this to be finished because the finisher has some good ideas for this.
2. I can't do terrain, I took a shot at it, and it looked horrible, so I undid it.
I expect to be listed as the original creator, you may state that you completed the map, however.
Every trigger is commented quite neatly, as the majority was done in starforge. Also note that the center is not set up on the ISOM grid correctly (I used copy/paste) and the ISOM brush will not work on it.
I like to emphasize open-source. Therefore, all my maps are open source. Therefore, anyone who edits this map must leave it in raw editor form. That is, it can be opened in SCMDraft or Starforge, comments and triggers and ISOM intact, without causing any problems.
I would just like to mention that the probe and the SCV, as well as that battery, and that plant below the main ion cannon are just temporary, as well as the two triggers labeled "temp".
Also note that I hadn't figured out any ideas for the ion cannon to get money, or a way to build plants and batteries. please make it something regularly balanced, as opposed to kills etc...
