The smallest field. Bill307 ftw.

Bill307 doesn't post here o.O And if you're including him, Rose.Of.Dream is much better. And how can a melee mapper be compared to a UMS mapper...

a mapper is a mapper. why shouldnt we compare?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Chef on 2007-01-31 at 18:19:37
Because they require entirely different skill sets.

Someone nominated Bill307, no one nominated Rose.Of.Dream

I nominated Koltz because not only does he know almost everything about map making, he has lots of good ideas and his maps are always good quality for what he is aiming for.

Either Tuxedo or U_Bolthead.. Tuxedo!

No offense to tuxedo but I don't like most of his work and don't think he's that good. KENOLI FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!!

Syphon I notice a startling lack of -me- in these polls, could that be because I am guaranteed to win any poll I desire through purely legitimate means?

Tuxlar makes really good maps given enough time, but I don't know if he can make decent maps in short periods of time.

Bolt_Head hasn't done much mapping in most of 2006.

I don't know and probably have never seen any of Chef's maps, but I suspect he's good at it.

Gigins is a decent mapper, but he doesn't get my vote for the same reasons as Tuxlar.

Bill307... I have no idea of his UMS mapping skills at all, so no vote.

That leaves Kenoli. Kenoli's a decent mapper who knows virtually all known mapping skills inside-out, makes decent maps in both long and short time frames, and also has my vote as the best mapper of 2006.

I'm so glad to see my nominees made it to these polls. GO BILL!

Tux. He released both Mechnogears and Rush during the previous year, and those were two great maps. I would say they were the greatest maps of the year.

SoftWareWolf is a good mapper too, but as Bolt_Head he hasn't done much in 2006.

SWW to me was more like someone who knew a bunch of tricks and special thingies so everyone went all "omgwtfWHEEE!"... A few of his maps were pretty fun though..

UMS - Tux
Melee - Chef

Thats final, you really can't argue that.

ADDITION:
I hope we're intelligent enough to make two sections for this.
