SPECIFICATIONS

SINGLE PLAYER!! I'm thinking of adding another player as your zombie "Nemesis" not like nemesis is Resident Evil..

-Map tileset
Badlands..City in massacre

-Map size
192x192



STORYLINE

You will have to play..this is one thing I can't let you in on
BUT...because people asked I'll let out the introduction..

You alone..actually start in peace..just waking up before the arrival of death..you are not a police officer like other maps but a 19 year old working in construction..your not aware of what the hell is with the zombies or where they came from, but surviving leads you to stumble upon what has happen..normal day at work..you learn your surrounding city in this "tutorial type" Monday morning..tommarow brings the zombies..


FEATURES

Players are in a massive chaotic world with every turn becoming an inevitable plot twist.
-Infection..I'll try to make it original..
-Different Guns

-3 Diffuculties... Easy(Noobs), Normal, Hard(Pros),
-Probably a dropship or gateway system to use special abilities and cycle weapons..

STORY MODE
Main playing function of game..Finish main quest to unlock features..features pending

FREE ROAM
Wander the game without objectives...open RPG style.

CREDITS
Watch some fireworks and the creator, testers, etc.

-What's new in your map that others have not done before? Free Roam? Probably not too much, I don't think a map has been put together like this before

Flash Grenades/Stuns surrounding zombies 4 secounds..zombies run around not being able to see and attack you..

Trip Mine/Creates a spider mine owned by computer that will attack zombies when to close.

Basic Healing Items..Food, Herbs, Medicine../For your health needs

"Hygiene" Items...Vaccine, Medications../To slow infection

What do you mean we will have to play to get the storyline? If you made the map then you should be able to give us the storyline. Unless you did this map and added random stuff to it confused.gif

Kinda like a lot of good games out there, the TRUE plot cannot be stated, otherwise the fear effect goes down.

Sounds like a nice zombie map. I like the fact that you have both a story mode AND a free roam mode in the same map.

I thought this would be alot better than the previous map, all my ideas were starting to point to an rpg like this. I think we all agree the last map wasn't a very well planned map. So, my problem now being that I'm not sure if I should add an infected player as your enemy so the game would be 2 Player.

I always thought a single player map could be good but also kind of lacking the fun of other players...trash talking each other, accusing the other one of hacks, getting advice, asking questions, and unique interactions unlike computer player AI.

Multiplayer story mode can lead to some complications or someone leaving if they are on alternate paths. Lots of times people will get tired of waiting to play and leave.

Yea, I've experienced that in some of the maps I've made. Where the game requires 5 people to play, and if someone leaves or dies... that's it. You have to restart. It was at first hard to stay alive, but I made it just a tad bit easier. Gotta love Alone in the Dark.

In AloneInTheDark, I have the chainsaw a Zealot. In a map such as this, however, you may want to consider, if you do have a Zealot representing a chainsaw, not having any shields...

The biggest reason why I suggest not having shields, you probably already know this, if the unit gets injured, shields can regenerate, while hit points can't. Unless you have all the other units Zerg units, then 0 shields would most likely be your best bet.

Like I said, you may already know this and are far ahead of me in your infinite wisdom... I say that, because this map sounds amazing, or I may have given a slight point to consider.

yes yes i know about shields...vulture isn't a good unit..any slow or human unit with melee will work... but what unit.. High templar? when units become to close they instantly die (every 3 secounds or something)

What about an Ultra? I mean, they have big blades... just put a chainsaw .wav whenever he attacks.

I think ultras are to huge of a unit. If I were to use a chainsaw unit I'd like a small unit. Ultras are the units that I'd like to add as the strong enemy. smile.gif

then i thought up a grenade system, when you use a grenade an observer appears over you for 4 secounds...in that 4 secounds you must move the observer to wherever you want the explosion to occur. Killing the zombies.
