MAPPING CONTEST[/center]

Another contest is underway, This time a different theme yet sticking to RPG path still. I hope a few more people will enter this time. I'll only need 3 other judges to help me this time and ya must be active people so dont take 4 months to judge the maps like last time, If you wish to be a judge pm me. Other then that i hope ya enjoy the contest.
THEME; ACTION RPG'S
Yes once again it's another RPG Contest but this time it's much different from the other. Maybe asking what is a ACTION RPG? Game's like Mechwarrior, Halo and few others are ACTION RPG'S. Still taking the role of a hero and fighting in battles but more the system. Eg; Using ammo. Im sure you get the idea.
DURATION; 2 MONTHS, Start's 8th of February Finishe's 8th of April.
(Time will not be increased, maps must be e-mailed before 12AM EST)
Guidelines
» Must be an original map can be made prior to the contest. Stolen Maps / Edited maps are not allowed.
» Any map dimensions allowed.
» No map over 5mb.
» Any number of players is OK.
» Team Projects are not allowed.
» You may submit up to three entries, but only the highest scoring entry will be placed and recieve a prize.
» No entry fee.
» Feel free to protect your map. The playing end will be emphasized more than the creation end.
» Map must be complete, no beta maps and no demo maps.
» E-Mail me the map, not PM. E-mail is: moogle.evil@gmail.com

Judging Criteria

Fun (20) - Important for me as I'm playing the map. Am I running around having a good time, or watching a unit talk to itself in a movie? If I ever go to this map again, is it going to be to play it with friends or to delete the scm/scx? This is probably going to be the deciding factor in contest entries.
Aesthetics and Professionalism (15) - Did you use one type of tile and no text color? Are there mispellings distracting me at every turn with some poorly made triggers? Hopefully you can create something that looks and feels decent. I'm not asking for extensive extended terrain or hundreds of sprites, a map with a unique feel to it should score at least an easy 10.

Sort of pointless, why would i spend 2 months on one rpg when i could make like 4+ small maps in that time? It's not quality over quantity, it's just the fact RPG's are overrated and take too long.

I agree you're allowed your opinions and people do like the maps and that it's your contest. However I am allowed my opinion and I was just saying that RPG's arn't even really played on SC just some bad ones. They are less likely to be appreciated and take more effort and in two months it's not like you can get an incredible RPG done.

Yes you are welcome to your opinion, I understand what you're saying. Alot of good rpgs never hosted on B.net because people are confused by them or take toolong finish and other then that people like brainless action. I said 2 months so people can take time in creating map. Instead of rushing like in 2 week contest.

I've entertained thousands, and it feels the same entertaining hundreds (my maps were the most played in 04 and 05 in case you didn't know).

I made a new version where it doesn't crash.. the dumb 1.14 patch makes the older version crash. =\

Practically every game is an "RPG", where you play a role in a game.. hence the name Role Playing Game. There are MANY KINDS of RPGs.
